Get support now
When you need immediate emotional support, you can speak with licensed therapists—at no cost to you—through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). And, if you’re an Anthem member, you can reach a mental health provider 24/7 through the One Medical app.
Employee Assistance Program
Lam’s Employee Assistance Program offers you and your dependents up to seven free online or face-to-face counseling sessions—and unlimited telephone sessions—for each issue you need help with. To reach a counselor, call Optum at 866-248-4096.
Talkspace
You and family members 13 and older can connect with a licensed therapist anytime on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone through Talkspace. There’s no charge for this service. Here’s what you need to do:
- Call Optum at 866-248-4096 to get an authorization code.
- Select a provider at talkspace.com/connect.
- Connect with a therapist online or via the mobile app.
Get ongoing support
If you need ongoing treatment and support for behavioral health or alcohol or drug use, the mental health services offered through your Anthem or Kaiser medical plan can help.
Kaiser members: Call the number on the back of your ID card to get connected to the care you need.
Anthem Members: If you contact Optum for support through the EAP, ask if you can be connected to providers in your Anthem network. You can also search for providers on the Anthem site.
Because of increased demand for behavioral health services resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, some Anthem members have had difficulty getting timely access to an in-network mental health provider. To address this challenge during this unusual time, if you are unable to find a suitable in-network provider, you may use an out-of-network provider, and your Lam medical plan will cover the cost at the in-network coinsurance rate.
